I was going to say that Health Pills felt both cheap and scarce.
See, I actually assumed the opposite gimmick, that Kilroy had to be defeated before the chick behind him could be damaged at all, because of the way he's standing in front of her. I thought he was protecting her or something.

- I guess this next part's a bit scummy, but Friend is invulnerable to all magic attacks. Therefore, the only real way to go in the battle is to assault Friend with physical attacks (leaving Lin kinda useless, but at least she could defend herself with Focus/support with Items), and once she's dead, survive against Kilroy's CQC onslaught for a couple of turns until his HP dropped to a point where you could kill him with a single attack. Oh, and Kilroy uses "Falcon Wrath" every 4th turn or so just to catch you out (I do this with a lot of enemies in the game, actually)
Yeah, I know, not immediately obvious how to go about things here, but I didn't exactly want to make an easy ride of a game, and other players seemed to have managed fine against the boss anyway.

black white or purple I'm kind of amazed those cops managed to de-escalate a violent situation anyway. bravo I guess.
(As a side note, for the majority of automatic guns, it's usually pretty easy to tell when they're not loaded. Revolvers usually aren't counted as automatic.)
gotta disagree there on a factual basis. with something like an automatic rifle, yes it's easy to tell if it doesn't have a clip in it. i assume in the above example, that it had a clip in the magazine well but the clip was empty. with a semi-automatic handgun unless you can see inside the magazine well or are handling the weapon yourself it won't be easy to tell if it's loaded or not at a glance since the clip would go up inside the magazine well...you might actually be better off trying to ascertain if a wheelgun was loaded depending on the design.
Having a real major Crohn's flareup. I don't seem able to keep any solid food down and I'm feeling pretty horrible. So if anyone was wondering why I've been /will be posting/RMN Playing/gam making less, that's why.

yeah, feeling a bit better today and a bit better during the day in general than at night. which is another thing that makes me think it might be exacerbated by an infection or virus of some kind.

It is weird.
I had just bought Nerve Stab with dirk but I never saw it actually go off and stick. I seemed to be having very shit luck with the status effect component of Lin's spells too (although 30% isn't a very high percentage anyway).
One thing I really never had trouble with was MP, because generally speaking characters have a lot of it and full heal points aren't too rare. That's a detail I failed to mention until now.

The only idea I got right now is simple to reuse maps. There are different ways to do so, such as copying and pasting pieces of map to multiple locations or making the game load the same map in multiple locations. You can make cracks and various object appear in different places to not make the maps entirely identical, but they will look same-ish no matter what though. On the other hand, there are a lot of games, even commercial ones, where the maps look very same-ish and who did just fine.
I would advice against making maps that extends their use by employing backtracking. In my experience, that's way more of an enjoyment killer than going trough similar looking hallways is.
See, I find that backtracking can actually increase my enjoyment of a game if the environment is interesting/engaging to inhabit in the first place (nice graphics, nice music, perhaps some details to observe that you missed the first time).

"dolls" v. "action figures" maybe? idk why i even bother making that comparison, i never got into any of the Diablo games either, i've honestly barely tried them.
i do know that i will happily spend time customizing the accessories and paint job on a gun in military shooter xyz but i am not interested in accessorizing ladies' outfits in japanese game xyz. that is just a preference, y'know i am not sure why it is getting so hardcore vilified.
It is pretty sad if it's true that X-2 is the best FF ATB game ever because I am pretty sure I'm never going to play it because of its extreme girliness. idk unless i can get into a place where i can appreciate it on a pure fanservice level but even then

too girly is something i personally have no interest in because of its girliness. you know, like sailor moon or creepy cartoon ponies show or whatever. something that is, you know..."for girls". (and that ironically i probably would have no interest in even if i was a girl)

RMN PLAYS
I gotta say...I am surprised how little an influx in the playing of my games RMN Plays has resulted in with the sheer amount of games I see getting played by the community at large. Yellow Magic seems to be the only bloke whose wide net shotgunning has happened by chance to hit any of my games during this event. I'm not complaining, just observing with some surprise. I have a LOT of games but I guess the SHEER OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF GAMES available on RMN makes it less likely then I thought for this firestorm of frantic game playing to land comments or reviews on any of my many babies.
There are a lot of games on RMN. That's all I'm saying. Don't read anything else into this comment.
